It was cozy and perfect for the two of us. The decor was tasteful and everything was clean. The garden was also really beautiful and really had you feeling like you’re in the middle of nowhere even though there are shops and pubs within walking distance. Robyn was also very pleasant and always answered any questions we had in a timely manner.

    Robyns was such a great host. she communicated well before the arrival and was just a WhatsApp away if you needed to reach her. she has two lovely dogs, which at first were a bit scared, but Robyn was able to keep them in the house when ever we needed to go out. just saw we feel secured. What a beautiful and specious house. If you are visiting Hillcrest kloof, this is the place to book, very convenient and close to shops. thank you for making our stay worth visiting again.

    The location was great for us as we were visiting family staying in Kloof. The current proprietors have been running the establishment for 3 months and one can see the work being done to make sure everything is on point. The breakfast was great value for money and the hosts was happy to have a full cooked breakfast ready for us at 6.30am.

    The location with the views over the gorge are just stunning. The cooked and the continental breakfasts were outstanding, and the staff were happy to change items for the fussy eater. The artwork within the hotel and the grounds has to be seen to be appreciated. The host's top tip on the Zam-Buk worked an absolute treat.

    Probably my favourite guest house in the whole of South Africa. It has style, fascinating architecture, trees, trees and more trees with a view down the Kloof. Unbeatable, but the best is the warm welcome from Lyn and her attention to detail in everything she does and has done to make this such a special place to stay.
