I understand that Ladysmith is an old town ,but ,I was very disturbed when I saw shacks right in town ,there are other areas in CBD, that were dirty ,in Small towns like Ladysmith ,we are expecting orderly and clean places especially in CBD. The town is very easily layed out and full of history.
The town is very easily layed out and full of history. Guided and unguided tours are available to visit the war that took place in the area. The richness in history and facts are felt throughout town. Not many restaurants available. Easy location to find. We would definitely stay there again should we find ourselves in Ladysmith in the near future. The extra blankets went a long way in those chilly winter nights and we did not have to ask for them, but already found them in our rooms.
