The beautiful manicured gardens, farm & facilities with a stunning backdrop. The endless amount of things do to, from cellar tours, to bread baking, to farm cycles, kayaking, eating the local produce in the restaurants and cafes, spa treatments and admiring the wildlife. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, nothing was ever too much and made you feel at home, everyone knew your name and made you feel truly welcome and part of the farm which was such a special experience. We would love so much to return some day.

Had a short but pleasant stay. Angala breathes serenity and is so so beautiful. The hike up the mountain is nice and recommendable. The pools are great and the surroundings and views are amazing. Breakfast was a great plus!

such a nice property, the spacious apartment was absolutely stunning and tastefully decorated. Very well maintained. free wine tasting at the estate. Super nice pool and the cuddles of the owner's golden retrievers added that extra touch making this a wonderful stay.

My wife and I decided to stay at Vrede en Lust to partake in the Franshoek Wine Train. It was a great decision. The Estate is part of the Navy line of the Franshoek Wine Train, which stops right by the entrance of the property. Our recommendation is to get there early and enjoy the Train for the day. There are many parking spaces in the Estate. Guests at the Estate get a complimentary wine tasting, so our last tasting of the day, after the wine train tour, was at Vrede en Lust, and we found our favorite wine of the day exactly there. The tasting itself is amazing, we loved their Viognier in particular. Checking in the Estate after the tasting was very easy and fast. We stayed at the Riesling room and had the most lovely time there. The room itself is not very spacious, but there are cabinets and an armoire for storage. Their bathroom is huge, with a large tub and a great shower. It was the perfect way to wrap up our day at the Estate. Breakfast was included, and the food there is delicious. Great staff everywhere. Amazing service. If you have the time, take a stroll by the Estate. The entire place is gorgeous and worthy of a slow walk and a few pics. Totally recommend.

I love all the small little details and care. The outside areas where wonderful with loads of beauftiful and quiet spots to enjoy a cup of coffee or meal. We had booked for 7 people and enjoy having so much space for everyone. Bedding, kitchen etc. was clean and fresh. The kids enjoyed the pool and the views are stunning. It was real value for money. I also loved that we could go up to the restaurant for a coffee and breakfast.

It was exactly what I expected, and needed.

It was exactly what I expected, and needed. Quiet, secluded and clean. It has a lovely bistro across the road that served amazing food and even had a bakery. The loft itself, had DSTv, a small kitchenette, and amazing bath/shower and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Easy to get around, stayed at Babylonstoren and ate and drank at the property. Food was great, fresh and healthy but the property is way too busy with "Day visitors" - talking bus loads....... Other than that and if you don't mind people milling everywhere a beautiful location

Great location. Friendly and cozy hotel, making you feel like being at home. Comfortable bed for a good night of sleep, apartment exceptional clean, kitchen with coffee and tea available and even some milk in the fridge for your tea. I really felt at home.
