The whole place is incredible. Beautiful architecture, landscaping, interior and furniture design. The whole self-sufficiency model, including school is phenomenal and very impressive. Food and wine absolutely delicious. Service was relaxed, in a good way! Staff lovely and accommodating. Special mention to Sam, Emma and Peter… you are lovely!

The Opstal accommodation is located in the beautiful Slanghoek valley with stunning, breathtaking views of mountains and vineyards. It has everything for a comfortable stay, including braai facilities and a hot tub (wood is available at the accommodation). The place is spacious and beautifully designed with great thoughtfulness. It was clean, neat and beautifully decorated. There are board games provided. The hot tub has amazing panoramic views. We enjoyed the complementary gifts provided by the friendly and welcoming host, Karmin. The Opstal restaurant offers delicious food, wine tasting and is located within walking distance. We loved everything about our stay and will definitely be back.

We stayed over for unfortunately just one night. Perfectly situated, quiet and received a warm welcome from Ina and the doggies! The room was spotless, super comfortable, great linen / towels cool and had the most comfortable beds ever! Quiet, pretty environment and after a great night's sleep we enjoyed a delicious cup of coffee (from the tea/coffee amenities in the room) on the stoep. Wonderful stay so will be back! Great open gras field with great Mountain View. Perfect location for hiking, mtb ((e-) mtb bike can be rented on site) and whine tasting. Tent is very cosy and has everting needed. Hot tob is fun. Prepare for cold hot tub though as it takes at least 5 hours to warm up and requires at least a full bag of wood (which we think is pretty high impact for a plunge). The host was incredibly welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The location was beautiful, and the accommodation was both spacious and immaculate. We had everything we needed, and the host was readily available for any requests. The beds were comfortable, and it was a delight to stroll around the property and take in the stunning scenery. We will definitely be returning!

Nice guesthouse tuck in the calmer part of the city (albeit in walking distance from the high street). Friendly and welcoming owners, comfy bed, AC worked like a charm, fully stocked bathroom. The breakfast was to die for - the best we had in South Africa so far. WiFi worked amazingly well, you can enjoy working from the garden. Finally, there's a broad selection of Belgian beers available (if you have any preference - shoot a note to the owner when making the reservation, he'd have it ice cold for you).
