We were greeted warmly by owners Michael and Vicky who were always happy to chat and find out about our experience at the lodge. When I mentioned a couple of minor issues they were quickly addressed.
Our tent was comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed seeing antelopes just outside. They also came to drink from the swimming pool, giving us some great photo opportunities.
The driver Dennis and spotter Phomani were very knowledgeable and found some wonderful sites to spot the animals, especially the lions killing a buffalo.

Mixed Feelings About Waterbuck Lodge
We recently stayed at Waterbuck Lodge as part of our honeymoon, and while there were some highlights, unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations, especially considering the cost.
First, the positives: the game drives were absolutely fantastic! The team was warm, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable, making the wildlife experience the highlight of our trip.

The lodge is beautiful, the views are amazing. Shumbalala Family made the stay unforgettable. Everything is well thought and organized, friendly and sincere. All is needed from guests is to relax and enjoy, which we truly did. Ryan was our ranger and together with the tracker arranged awesome game drives and so much information about animals, birds and flora around. Loved every moment of our stay.

Beautiful lodge with a swimming pool and bar, nice seating area for lounging. Love the boma dining every night. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, has an outdoor rain shower.
Love the sunset bush bar during the evening game drives.

Waterhole in front of lodge was continuously visited. Staff were amazing and the game drives excellent. Food was full of flavour and generous servings.
