I’ve travelled all over the world and never had such a unique experience. It is a truly off-grid property without peer (that I know of). You are in middle of nowhere! Long dirt roads almost need 4x4 vehicle. No cell signal for kilometers! No internet! You have indescribable natural beauty totally isolated with your thoughts and companions. The cottage we had was professionally designed, newish, modern and comfortable. Every detail was thought out. The best feature was a wood burning hottub. Some fire building skills needed. There was solar power and plenty of hot water. Wonderful bathrooms. Curated kitchen. Bring everything you need food and supply wise. The only light pollution in the night sky was from the moon. The full Milky Way galaxy was on display. We had wild animals come directly near the cottage at night because we were quiet. It is definitely a place for contemplation.

Njalo Safari lodge is a diamond in the rust!! It is absolutely superb & I would recommend this Safari lodge to anyone driving through the Karoo or to anyone who wants to stay close to Aquilla! The rooms are nicely equipped with air con, patio, coffee maker , nice bedding & large shower! You can just enjoy yourself here in peace with birds chirping away, lovely pool to cool down, sundowners with honor bar ( unheard of!) delicious food & friendly & hospitable staff! Can’t say enough about this lodge, they even allow your pup 🐶 to come too!

Very friendly staff, beautiful hotel and beautiful surrounding scenery. We went in August when it was less busy and the staff opened up the restaurant for dinner and breakfast just for us. Food was good and well priced. Would have loved to take a dip in the pool if it wasn't winter :) The hotel is also far enough from the main road and has a gate so feels very safe and secluded.

Very nice place to stay in and have some quality time with your beloved ones. we came to do the Safari game drive in that area, we loved the experience of staying in a tent! Very very clean, AC is working perfectly! Water is running perfectly.. it is a gated place so you feel safe.
