This is an absolutely lovely, family-run guesthouse. The cabin is completely new, with a comfortable porch and lovely details inside, such as the row of plants in the bathroom. Chathuri and Gayan are great hosts, very attentive, and they helped us with both big and small requests throughout our stay. We did the safari with Gayan to Kaudulla park and could not be happier. Chaturi also put us in touch with a great tuk-tuk driver, Nimesh, to go to Polonnaruwa and spend the day. Breakfasts were delicious and with plenty of food! The location is great, close to the main road, but in a quiet area. We also appreciated the mosquito net in the cabin, which allowed us to sleep with an open window, letting the cool night air in. I simply can not say enough good things about this guesthouse - 100% recommended! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Amazing property in a quiet location surrounded by lush nature. We loved our spacious bungalow, the pool area and the beautiful tranquil garden where we saw monitor lizards and peacocks. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful and the food was really delicious. I highly recommend staying here.

Our stay at Roo Mansala was truly exceptional and we loved every part of it :) The accommodation is located in between of Lion Rock and Pidurangala right inside the forest within a lush green environment and you can see both of the rocks from your room. Roo Mansala is an amazing place to relax and calm down. The pool and garden of the villas is perfectly clean and neat and you can just enjoy and rest from the day tours there, have a cold drink and listen to the birds flying around. Last but not least, the food was also extraordinary. everything is freshly prepared and from local produce and tastes amazing. The prices are great value. We want to thank the whole team for their great job and the warm welcome at the property!!! We would love to come back one day.

Gunnar is a fantastic host! He helped us organize tours and even personally drove us to Kandy. Despite this, we never felt pressured or like he was trying to sell us something—quite the opposite. We had engaging and enjoyable conversations with him. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious, and the rooms look exactly like they do in the pictures. The concept of the open bathroom is beautiful, and even without a mosquito net over the bed in our room, there were no mosquitoes inside. The pool is large, clean, and even has a baby area for small children. Highly recommended!
