I was worried at first that this might be the wrong choice, since it’s a bit far from the park entrance and the main hiking trail. But this place turned out to be absolutely magical. I would recommend it to anyone. While sitting outside on the little terrace, I saw so much wildlife right in front of the cabin: two types of monkeys, an agouti, parrots, a sloth, a squirrel, iguanas, tons of birds, and even a snake. The cabin itself is super comfortable. It feels cozy, and the bed is really nice. Also, it’s easy to catch a small shuttle or bus from here to both the main park entrance and the starting point of the hike to Cabo San Juan, which makes it a really convenient base. Truly an unforgettable stay in Tayrona.

But what truly makes this experience even more special are the hosts: Juliette was incredibly helpful and attentive to all our requests, making our stay even more enjoyable. Always smiling and ready to give us tips on things to do in the area. And then there’s Tinto, the dog: a sweet and affectionate companion who made us feel right at home. The service was impeccable, with every little detail taken care of. If you’re looking for an authentic experience and warm hospitality, this is the place to be!

You rent the entire house, giving you exclusive access to a private swimming pool. The amenities are well-maintained, and the owner/administrators are quite responsive. The two rooms are connected, forming a spacious area with an open roof, separated by a bamboo door. Overall, it’s well worth the price. Small barbeque near the beach available.
