The location is great, the scenery around the house is amazing,.The room is very clean and tidy, and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking.

All units come with a terrace with mountain views, a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave and a toaster, and a private bathroom with walk-in shower. A fridge, a stovetop and kitchenware are also provided, as well as a kettle. At the country house, every unit includes bed linen and towels. We felt at home since the time we entered the bungalow, immersed in a truly amazing natural landscape...Great outdoors for children, who can even enjoy a porpusefully built playground!

Staying at Askot Cottage for our first two days in Iceland was probably one of the best decisions we made during this trip. It made the first impression of this majestic country even better. The attention to detail in these cottages is unparalleled. The kitchen is immaculately equipped with everything you need to cook, eat, and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Second, the bed and linen were unreal. We felt like we were sleeping on clouds. Clean, cozy, comfortable, spacious... just unique. When we woke up the following day, we enjoyed a slow and calm breakfast while watching beautiful horses through the giant window. The bathroom was also well equipped with everything you need - soap, shampoo, shower gel, enough toiletries, and towels. Everything was so warm, cozy, and compact - I honestly can't recall when was the last time we were taken care of so well. The check-in and check-out process was simple and smooth. We picked up and left our keys in a small lock box next to the door. Greta was also kind and notified us about leaving a cable when we left, so we returned and retrieved it without any issue. They also provided us with a Bluetooth speaker. We used to listen to Icelandic folk music—it was like a fairytale! The only downside was that we couldn't stay here longer. It was also a great location to visit nearby attractions, such as Kerid Crater, Bruarfoss, Faxafoss, Urridafoss, the cute town of Selfoss, and more. It's a fantastic place. Greta and Steiner did an excellent job. As experienced travelers, we cannot recommend this place enough. I'm looking forward to staying here again sometime. Best of luck!

The accommodation comes with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with walk-in shower, hot tub and a hair dryer, while the kitchen features a dishwasher, an oven and a microwave. A toaster, a fridge and stovetop are also featured, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. At the holiday home, the units are fitted with bed linen and towels. We loved everything about this cabin. We were in the Turquoise cabin. The location was the perfect base for exploring the Golden Circle and the neighbouring Selfoss. It was also convenient to Keflavik Airport as well as Reykjavik. In the town, there are restaurants, cafes, bars, grocery shops and petrol stations if you just want to hang about the village. We walked to the brewery our first night - everything’s within a 10-15 minute walk. There’s also some hiking and thermal springs close by (we didn’t get to dip in the springs because we ran out of daylight). On to the property - it was like being home and living near a friendly neighbour. It felt very private and the cabin was very warm in freezing temperatures. (once we identified the one window that was left on breathe!) There was everything we needed for cooking/eating and the coffee machine was a bonus. There’s no cable TV, but that was perfectly fine - we just cosied up to some Netflix movies at the end of the day (when we weren’t in the sauna or hot tub). The bathroom was spacious and clean and soap, etc. was available, which was unexpected and handy. The bedroom was comfortable for the both of us. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we sleep like babies the entire stay. Our favourite parts of our stay were the sauna and hot tub. We enjoyed a couple of sauna sessions during our stay and spent a few nights in the hot tub. On our last night, we were slightly bummed that we didn’t see the northern lights and around the time we were thinking to get out, they appeared and put on the most beautiful show. We didn’t have our cameras, but it’s a memory that will live with us for a long time. Last, but not least, the hosts were incredible and friendly and available when we needed them. They were also very communicative before and during our stay. We’ve been considering a second trip when the weather improves, and if we’re down that way, we Weill certainly stay in the Backyard Village again.

Was super cosy for my partner, Daughter and i. Easy self check in, Parking right in-front of the accommodation and great location between attractions! Thank you for having us (and we loved waking up to the dogs on our porch)

The bed was super comfy, and the kitchen had everything we needed. But the best part was the hot tub – it was absolutely amazing to soak in it while the chilly air surrounded us. A truly unforgettable, serene getaway!

Sauðanes Guesthouse features sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Höfn. This country house features a garden as well as a shared lounge. The country house offers mountain views and a sun terrace. Amazing house, very comfortable and spacious. Extremely well equipped kitchen, we found everything we needed. The owners left very clear instructions that helped a lot organizing our stay. The house is in the middle of the fields, so it;s extremely quiet, but it's 10 mins drive from Hofn, so very convenient.
