We also liked that it was situated in the middle of the north coast of the island, so traveling to see things both east and west was easy.

But the loveliest part of the property, is the orange groves brimming with beautiful flowers, which guests are free to wander and enjoy. The villa itself, offered all the amenities a guest could want, and offered ample space for our family. It was beautifully decorated and well appointed. Our host Anna, was so sweet and helpful. The homemade cakes she periodically left on the dining table, were a welcome surprise at the end of a day of sightseeing. The villa was perfectly located as a base to explore San Miguel and was very close to Ponta Delgada. But once you were back at the villa, it was an oasis of calm and tranquillity. The pool and hot tub were wonderful for relaxing and soaking tired muscles after a day of exploring the island.
