With large windows overlooking the lake, rooms at La Estela are very bright and spacious. They feature stylish wooden furnishing, heating and private bathroom. This was the best accommodation we had on our trip: gorgeous views due to its secluded spot, excellent restaurant / food and cute bar, lovely staff who spoke perfect English, great amenities (spacious, modern and yet cosy cabin). We only regret not having stayed longer. This would definitely be a 4-star hotel in Europe.

They had us over for beers and then we dined together. They have very interesting life stories. The stay is a true gem in Patagonia. They have a pet sheep, Pepale, that is very friendly and cute. A true Estancia Patagonica experience for us. 100% recommended!!!

The owner is nice, friendly and communicative. The place is nicely furnished with a collection of vintage furniture and old items. It even has a turntable and some LP records. It is located in a peaceful farm outside of Trelew in a rural place and it seems safer than other options that are within the city. There are friendly dogs in the yard and the Chubut river is just around the corner. We recommend the place.

It’s price convenient, even the towels are provided. Cristian is a very nice guy and gave us multiple good tips for trips during our stay in the area. Another plus is that he speaks really well English which is very appreciated for non- Spanish speaking travellers like us. Warmly recommended👍
