Food, pool, & staff were wonderful. (Valentina at reception was really helpful and patient. She helped to make the stay more enjoyable.)
Location is beautiful but drive to hotel is challenging. Guest arrival during daylight hours is strongly encouraged.

We loved our stay here and wish it could have been longer than 2 nights. Location is on lake with about a 15 minute drive to down town. Several restaurants are nearby with one a two minute walk. Absolutely beautiful views of the lake whether from the guest room, breakfast area or outdoor sitting area. Rooms are very tastefully done and we enjoyed the owners artwork throughout the property. Breakfasts were great and hosts were very helpful. We will be back.

Our three night stay was wonderful. The staff was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The setting was beautiful, with abundant birdlife and scenery. The breakfast one of the best we’ve had anywhere, and we did eat at their restaurant two nights and food was excellent. It is a little outside of the main road, but we easily made several day trips and great to come back in the evening to a true Refugio. I would say a car is necessary for this stay.

Stunning location, looking out over the city and in the heart of the old part at heart of old city. Everything is on the doorstep - the hotel is beautifully done and Karen ( the owner ) was stunningly friendly and helpful. Do take a sea view if you can - you won’t regret it.

Everyone at Esencia from the moment of arrival everyone was very friendly and welcoming, Making you feel at home immediately. It is obvious everyone takes pride in the service they provide. Also great prearrival communications. The breakfast is the best we have had since being in Chile, fresh and varied, and so much of it too.
Other hotels could learn so much from Escenia on how to treat people and provide top class accommodation and service.
Great location just a short walk from Vina del Mar beach plenty of local cafes and restaurants too.

Great hotel with an awesome view. Super clean, and lots of little thoughtful touches. Walking distance to old town, and felt very safe. Parking was a bonus. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming and nothing was a bother. The entire experience was very boutique and tasteful. Highly recommended
