We travelled to Denmark, and made a trip in two parts. The first part was an exploration of Funen, with Falsled Kro as our basis. But Falsled Kro was a jewel to discover by itself. We can say a lot, or we can say nothing and rest in wonder. This is a magical place, with lovely and very helpful people, who immediately made you feel at home. And the cuisine, morning or evening, was above expectations. 11/10, and we'll be back someday :).

Painted in the typical yellow of Skagen, the hotel is located a little outside the main town with parking areas. Very easy to walk to town from the hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile, and a room upgrade. Room 2 is at the front of the hotel, with a small balcony and looked brand new. The bed was very comfortable, the styling coastal and Scandi. Very quiet at night. Breakfast was excellent, lots of quality fresh choices, plenty of hot tea and coffee. We stayed two nights, and felt more like we were staying with family, than a hotel. We especially loved having our breakfast in the sunny dining room that still features original paintings.

This was a perfect place to stay for a night on our way through Hundested, a small port town close to the hotel. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean with plenty of space for two people and a nice bathroom with an enclosed shower. Breakfast, served in a bright and airy room, included locally made organic yogurt, fruit, bread, cheeses, and eggs with bacon & vegetables. The chance to see several paintings by Danish artist Arne Haugen Sorensen on display was an added bonus. We look forward to coming back again the next time we are in Denmark.

Very nice view from the room. There were seals 🦭 chilling on the beach right in front of the hotel. The staff was amazing. Everyone spoke perfect English. The rooms are very cosy, Hygee.

We had a wonderful wedding lunch with about 20 people at the Garden Cafe. The setting in Augustenborg Garden is really beautiful and the team of Mette and Mette took great care of us. You get a really individual set up. From the menu to decoration and wedding cake. They do their best to fulfill all your wishes. We will always remember that special day. Thanks a lot for having us and the warm welcome. The home made gløgg is excellent as well. For our wedding we stayed at the lovely apartments in Augustenborg Garden right next to the Café. That was a perfect fit.

The staff are great! They go above and beyond to accommodate your needs, the rooms are great, clean, comfortable, and themed with a beach theme, as its on Fanø island, and the breakfast, oh, man, the breakfast is amazing! Well worth the small added fee to your booking, all-in-all, a great hotel, i highly recommend it!
