The best place to stay in Karakol. We stayed there for 5 nights and we discovered from there all the region hiking every day in different valley (Ak-Suu, Jeti Oguz, Jyrgalan, Altyn Arash).
Ahmet, the owner, is the kindest, most welcoming and helpful person we could find.
He advised us on wonderful walks, he also helped us with taxis, market and translations.
Hillside is an oasis of tranquillity, the rooms as clean as the whole building. The common area the ideal place to relax after a long hiking. The breakfasts were excellent. Super fast wifi. To be recommended to anyone who wants to stay in Karakol. We love it!!!

The staff were extreemly respectful and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed and always checked up on us. We even had brought a massive watermelon from our travels and they offered to keep it stored in the fridge and cut it up for us. 10/10 would highly reccommend coming here.

Lovely yurt camp with different kinds of rooms to stay in. Gulnur and her family were amazing and compassionate hosts and helped us arrange an eagle show, taxis and prepared delicious breakfasts and dinners! The camp is just 10 minutes walk from a nice beach at the lake. The area is calm and we slept great during our stay. We had fantastic views of the mountains and orchards from the camp. We hope to be back some day!

Lovely clean and modern hotel. I didn’t catch the name of the guy who was working the front desk when we stayed but he was really nice and attentive and made a lovely breakfast for us and was very helpful carrying bags etc. Great location and great value for money!

New hotel. Very nice decoration. Beautiful room. Very good and rich breakfast. Water is provided at the reception 24 hours a day. It is a little further from the main square but you follow a straight path for 15 minutes and you are in a very central location. The guys working at the reception are excellent.

Our stay at Duet Hostel was absolutely exceptional! The staff were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make us feel at home, always very efficient and doing their best to cater to all your needs (laundry, food, tourist info, etc)! The facilities were spotless and cozy, and the restaurant served some amazing food, both western and local! Truly a wonderful experience – we can’t recommend it enough!
