We took a brief stop on our road trip in this small town. The room is not just a room. We were really surprised that the whole defense tower is our room! The interior is modern and comfortable with the castle view. As this is a defense tower, there are many windows around the room. So you can enjoy 360°c view from the room. Fantastic. Breakfast would be delivered in the morning and we had breakfast inside the room.

Henke and Annemarie’s hospitality was outstanding, the best we’ve experienced! B&B Hotel Malts is right in the heart of Haarlem (yet a quick bus trip to from Schiphol Airport), it’s beautifully decorated - we loved coming “home” after a day’s activities fuelled by a generous, freshly cooked Dutch breakfast. We couldn’t recommend this accommodation more highly.

Everything! The nicely furnished, very spacious, and comfortable room, with a comfortable bed, shower, and bathtub. The room was very quiet, I didn't hear any noise from the restaurant that was in the other part of the building.
The owners are very friendly, and one can easily feel their passion for hospitality. It was a pleasure for me to get to know them. They pay a lot of attention to the comfort of their guests and have put a lot of effort and attention to detail when designing and furnishing their boutique hotel.
They also own the restaurant next door, where they served delicious breakfast during my stay.
The hotel is centrally located in Baarlo, very close to a supermarket.
Would definitely stay again if I am back in Baarlo. Highly recommend this place.
