We’re so happy we chose Akagera Ihema Lodges for our stay near the park. The view over the lake is simply unbeatable, and the setup of the cottage—with its walk-in shower and peaceful surroundings—made it the perfect place to relax. A big thank you to the amazing staff, who took such great care of us. They prepared breakfast boxes early in the morning for our game drives and served delicious meals each evening. Their kindness and attention to detail really made our stay special. Although we spent three nights here, we feel like we barely scratched the surface of how beautiful and peaceful this place is. We’d love to come back and enjoy it even more.

Wir reisen viel, haben viel gesehen und erlebt aber eine solche Gastfreundschaft haben wir noch nie erlebt. Einfach toll, welche Oase sie dort geschaffen haben. Ein besonderer Dank gilt auch Jean D‘Armour, der mit seiner Freundlichkeit, Leidenschaft und Engagement unsere Zeit so besonders machte.

I loved that it was a women owned eco resort. No plastic water bottles. The staff was wonderful. Helped me beyond belief getting the tour I really wanted with a great guide. Good food and even an espresso machine!!!
