Room was really nice and cozy. Very very quiet as well. Nice calming view out the balcony. Warm also. The staff was very friendly and capable, also quite knowledgeable. Hats off to Sam from the main bar, going the extra mile to help us with everything we needed. Much recommended!!!

Love the staff, the room (Jungle), the breakfast! It was a wonderfully warm and comfortable room and bed, with a welcoming bath. Breakfast was in the room - great selection of hot food, toast, juices, tea and French press coffee.

Situated 10 minutes of walking to Windermere or Bowness, Hawksmoor Guest House has free Wi-Fi and plenty of off-road parking.

The Rooms at the Apple Pie was perfectly located in the centre of Ambleside, an easy walk to all of the shops. Our room was an attic room - the ceiling definitely is a bit low for someone who is tall, but it was a great size and very comfortable, we had a great sleep. There was an honesty bar system for cokes and crisps among other things, but we had both breakfast and lunch (and an apple pie) from the delicious bakery and cafe next door. Highly recommend.
