Location is amazing, right within old port of Chania. Though very quiet. Hotel itself is very old house, renovated up to standards while keeping a lot of charm. Staff is really kind and helpful, go to them for local addresses, restaurants or trips. Amazing.

My stay at Samaria Hotel was wonderful. The staff was exceptionally friendly and kind. The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were very clean. I especially loved the swimming pool area for relaxing. Even after checking out, we enjoyed the swimming pool and used the available showers, which was a nice touch.

Epas from the hotel contacted us 1 day ahead of arrival. He greeted us himself at arrival. He was very helpful with advice about restaurants and places to see. Breakfast was excellent. Epas served breakfast himself everyday. Lots of choices. One day we went to Samaria Gorge and was leaving early so Epas made us a breakfast package. I have stayed at many hotels but this was both very personal and great service through our entire stay. Would definitely stay there again if we are going to Crete. Highly recommended
