I loved the swimming pool. We also had a great view from our balcony over the garden with the pool towards the lake and the mountains. If you don't like big and expensive breakfasts, you can go to the pool bar after 9 AM and get some coffee and a croissant there.

A Beautiful hotel in quiet surroundings, the staff were all amazing and had a great knowledge of English. The facilities were top-notch notch and the breakfast was great. Nothing bad to say, everything was so good. The fact they included dinner and wine in the price was such a bonus.

Our second time staying at the hotel Ancora. There is a wonderful art deco inspired elegance to the hotel, exemplified by the staff who complement the aesthetic with their manner and professionalism. It could be a model for the best boutique hotels to follow. The breakfast is superb by any standard, world class quality and a wonderful selection of food. The location is on the road next to Lake Maggiore (which is very convenient) and the staff will guide you with regard to parking options
