Free WiFi access is available and rooms come with a flat-screen smart TV. The property offers free parking. This place was beyond my expectation. The room was very comfortable with stunning mountain view. The cleanliness was spot on. The breakfast was quite good and it was arranged in the living room, from where one can see the Hallstatt lake and surrounding mountains. Coffee, tea, hot water, some drinks were always available in living room. The bedroom and the living room were very nicely decorated and give you the warmth of home. Mark and Jane both are really exceptional hosts and they can suggest you a lot of things. We arrived quite late to Obertraun and had some food (already cold). Mark took the initiative to warm that in his personal kitchen. Also, on the very last day, we left our luggage for a few hours before coming back to pick them. I would love to come back again to this place.

Hotel Garni Anzengruber is located near the centre of St. Wolfgang in the Salzkammergut, 100 metres from the famous Weißes Rössl and the beautiful pilgrimage church. The hotel is beautifully and centrally located with a view over Wolfgangsee. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The host is very welcoming and gave us great suggestions for activities. We really liked the atmosphere at the hotel too — it felt very homely and personal, unlike big chain hotels. We also really enjoyed the private lakeside garden, which was a perfect spot for sunbathing and taking a refreshing dip in the lake.

The windows offer peaceful, breathtaking views. The SPA area is a true relaxation haven—comfortable, professional, and beautifully designed. After warming up well in the sauna, it's worth taking a quick dip in the icy waters of Lake St. Wolfgang, surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery. We loved the hotel’s unique style. It’s not just a place to stay but an experience we’ll always remember and want to return to.

You can dine in the on-site restaurant and sunbathe on the terrace which provides lake views. The location was brilliant. Away from crowd and near to nature.

All rooms are equipped with a seating area and satellite TV. The rooms have a double bed with separate mattresses. The staff is friendly, the room is beautiful, clean with the balcony and mountain view. There are also a sauna and jacuzzi with 15euro you can stay for 2 hours. Recommend it.

Family-run for 150 years and renovated in 2014, Seewirt Zauner is situated right on the historic market square in Hallstatt’s car-free centre and 150 metres from the waterfront at Lake Hallstatt. All rooms offer lake or mountain views. Everything was perfect, the location, view, staff, breakfast and the room itself! The lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful and the lady behind the breakfast counter was super sweet and cheerful. We had an amazing experience and definitely will come again!

A 5-minute walk from the centre of Sankt Wolfgang, Strandhotel Margaretha offers a private beach on the shore of Lake Wolfgang, a lakeside terrace, a bar, a sauna, and a relaxation room. Free WiFi is available. ⸻ We stayed for a week in August, a family of four with two children. Overall, the hotel is excellent – it’s in a perfect location and has a very nice private beach (including SUP boards and rowboats available for guests). Breakfast was good and varied, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Parking is not always available on-site, but it’s not a big issue unless it’s raining heavily, as the hotel provides free parking just a two-minute walk away. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant once – the food was tasty but relatively expensive compared to other restaurants in the area.
