The 4-star By The Sea Resort is located in the centre of Port Douglas, next to Four Mile Beach and just a 2-minute walk from the restaurants along Macrossan Street. All apartments come with full kitchen facilities and many also have sea views. Great location in Main Street. Friendly welcome, room was on 2nd with views to the sea, well equipped kitchen.

These boutique timber bungalows offer ocean, mountain or forest views. Guests can relax on their private balcony and enjoy the native birds and wildlife. All rooms are air-conditioned and offer a bathtub, a refrigerator, and a minibar. This resort was Heaven on Earth. The staff went above and beyond and they were all super nice. The views from the restaurant and bar overlooking the Coral Sea were astonishing and so was the food. The natural swimming pools were a delight as well, but what really stood out beside the staff were the tours for guests only. I loved them all: the Nature Walking Tour with Brett, the Star Gazing tour with Rose, the Coconut Odissey tour with Geff and also the cultural presentation about the Kuku Yalanji. There is also a private beach for guests only and it was lovely to walk around the property and spotting birds, butterflies, plants and all that nature has to offer. If one does not want to walk there is a buggy service taking you around the resort 24/7 and reception is also open 24/7. There is even a Turtle Lookout to spot seaturtles. The bungalows with their porches overlooking either the sea or the forest were stunning and what I loved the most about this place was how the resort was the background of the surrounding nature and not the other way around.

Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, the complex boasts a saltwater swimming pool and BBQ facilities. Free WiFi and free covered parking are available. Our property features shared female and male dorms with private bathrooms and private rooms with ensuite bathrooms and an outdoor patio. The property was clean, easy to find and felt safe. The staff were great.

All air-conditioned rooms have a flat-screen TV, a DVD player and free movie channels. Each room has a refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. Most also have lovely mountain, pool or garden views. Lovely accommodation, perfect location.

Each studio and villa has a private patio with outdoor seating. Great dog friendly break, outside bath was great and the pool was a good size. Walking distance to town, beach and restaurants.

Regal Port Douglas Hotel's privileged location is a short walk from award-winning restaurants, chic bars and boutiques and the Sunday Foreshore Markets. We enjoyed our time in Port Douglas. It was really nice that we were so close to the restaurants and shopping!
