Alma Hotel - Boutique hideaway by the lake with rooftop and ladies-only wellness enjoys a quiet location in a 19th-century building just 100 metres from Lake Zurich and near several tram and bus stops. The Zurich Opera House, as well as the Alma Hotel was a fabulous hotel with lovely old rooms with ,modern twist only 15 mins walk from old town. A perfect hotel near the lake with a ladies only wellness and yoga area. They even had a guest kitchen where you could store food in the fridge and prepare meals or snacks. Quite eco friendly with an honesty bar for drinks in reception and 24hr coffee machine in the restaurant. The only downside is that after my massage there isn’t a changing room or shower to use so when on the day of check out to get a massage it’s awkward. Apart from that tiny issue I would highly recommend this hotel in Zurich. Also a roof top terrace that would be fabulous in good weather!

The Marktgasse Hotel is a historic building with low ceilings and sloped floors (not all rooms). The hotel is situated in Zurich's Old Town, 200 meters from the Grossmünster and 500 meters from Lake Zurich, and boasts free WiFi, free access to a wellness center, a restaurant, and a 24-hour reception. The closest tram stop is 50 meters away. An absolutely amazing, beautiful place in the heart of Zurich. It's a historic building, but inside, it's a stylish hotel. We were greeted very warmly, been congratulated on our anniversary, and were given a charming room, exactly what I wanted. The staff was very friendly and very professional. I can't wait to return to this hotel! Thank you for your hospitality!
