It has been a long time (40 yrs) since my last visit to Las Terrenas so i was a bit apprehensive when i heard that the coast had a lot of tourist development. Happily, the transformation from a desolate, nearly impossible to reach beach has been turned into fully accessible area of boutique hotels (not cheap high rises) that are still very reasonably priced. The best lodging on the entire couple mile beach strip is the Atlantis. It is a serene, beautiful property, with spectacular views and access to the most beautiful beach on the island. The rooms are very clean and staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. Also, the restaurant is the best in the area. Ten out of ten.

Dieses luxuriöse Hotel in Puerto Bahia liegt eine 10-minütige Fahrt vom Flughafen Arroyo Barril entfernt. My suite had a wonderful view to the Marina. Beds were super comfortable and clean.
