Hôtel & Spa Le Bouclier D'or is located in the historic La Petite France district in a 16th Century building, a 5-minute walk from Strasbourg Cathedral. It offers a wine bar and wellness centre, which includes a spa bath, sauna, hammam and massage room. Location of the hotel is great, just in the middle of the historical part of the city, however quiet at the top floor. Beautiful and spacious room. We tried the spa facilities and the massage was amusing! Warm thanks to all staff who were very helpful , kind and attentive.

It is within a few blocks of the train station in a quiet upscale neighborhood. There is onsite parking. It is about a mile walk into the historic town center, but it is level ground with good sidewalks, so easy walking. Eat dinner in the town center as we couldn’t find any restaurants that were open near the property.

It was rather bland. Down the street are better options for pastry and a bit of breakfast. Everything else os superb.
