At Une nuit au second Chambre d hôtes, guests will enjoy a mix of modern and old style decor, as well as a room with a flat-screen TV and a bathroom fitted with a walk-in shower and toilet. The location was exceptional. Agnes's home is about an easy 2-block walk to cafes, restaurants, gift shops, park (fantastic for soaking up the loveliness of Lyon, and PEOPLE WATCHING!!!) . The room itself is much more than a room, it's huge with ensuite bath. Agnes has a fantastic decorating style, very chic and elegant with an emphasis on comfort. There is also an adjoining living area that we were welcome to use (shared with Agnes and family), but our room was so large and comfy that we mostly stayed in there. Honestly I have nothing but great things to say about our whole experience at Agnes's home. We would ABSOLUTELY return for a future stay. Hopefully we can do just that. Many thanks, Agnes!

Mas de Capelou is a 17th century Provencal house, 7 km from the centre of Avignon, offering B&B accommodation. Guests have access to the outdoor heated swimming pool, terrace with deck chairs and gardens. Where do I start? This property and the staff and owners are exceptional in every way! Magnificent, spacious room. The breakfast buffet was wonderful! Valerie, (the owner of the property), made us an omelette each morning and special little touches like homemade jam and fresh baked breads and pastries were amazing! There is an adorable outdoor restaurant on the property, (run by Valerie's son). Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try the restauruant; Other guests we spoke to said it was very good. It seemed to be quite busy. There was a little outdoor kitchen area and one evening we picked up some lovely food from the Avignon market and made ourselves a fantastic home cooked meal- which was a treat! A 10 minute drive from Avignon- you will need a car. Don't hesitate. This place is fantastic!

A 16th-century castle, Château Les Oliviers de Salettes sits in a 31-hectare park just 20 km from Montélimar Train Station. It offers 2 swimming pools, a terrace, a garden, a restaurant and a smoking lounge. It is a wonderful property! I would describe it by word serenity, you truly connect with nature there. The team at the Chateau was very pleasant. I have asked couple of times for recommendations and the ladies at the reception have gone above and beyond to give me suggestions for best local experiences and even made some reservations for me. The dinner and the local wine shop that they suggested was truly the highlight. The premise includes wonderful pools, park area, restaurants, wineries and lavender fields. Truly unique! Just take some time and walk around to appreciate the world we live in and the beauty of France! Breakfast was really wonderful, so much food and so delicious! I only regret that I had to cancel my dinner reservation at Le Lavandin because the group I was with was very particular about their dinner choices but if I was alone I would have done it a thousand times. I imagine the food there is great too! Bonus- look up at night, you can see the stars and they are magnificent!
