Hôtel & Spa Le Bouclier D'or is located in the historic La Petite France district in a 16th Century building, a 5-minute walk from Strasbourg Cathedral. This perfect little haven in the Petite France area of Strasbourg was an ideal base to explore this beautiful historic city. This renovated old building has everything - character, history, vintage furniture and modern facilities. We visited Strasbourg during the Christmas Market and while it was only a few minutes walk to the major market squares and the local restaurants, the immediate vicinity was pretty quiet - almost no vehicle traffic and just a few pedestrians, who mostly seemed to be taking their kids to the school opposite. We only saw one staff member (I’m sure there must be others) but he was very welcoming and informative, giving us good tips on where to go. We loved our room, which was very nicely furnished, but also had plenty of power points, a device charger on the desk and the most fantastic shower.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Château De Grunstein was a really pleasant surprise for us. At first, we booked it due to it's closeness to Strasbourg & Colmar. But, we could have stayed there just for the place itself! The room, the interior design, the staff... everything was amazing. I have to give credit to the amazing baker/cook who prepared the breakfast. She did a phenomenal job, everything tasted heavenly. Without doubt, one of the best breakfasts I had in Europe. Thanks again for this lovely weekend we got to spend there!

Junior suite - bed was very comfortable. Very quiet. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast spread was terrific. Only an 8-9 minute walk into central Strasbourg. Fantastic hotel to stay at.

The family room was perfect for our needs, and they accommodated our request for 4 twin beds. The private bathroom was spacious, modern and very clean, and the common areas were friendly and engaging. The staff members were very helpful, and the location was perfect--very close to the train station, various cafes and Petite France. We would definitely stay again!
