Best Western Poitiers Centre Le Grand Hôtel 4 stars

Le Grand Hotel is a designer hotel situated in central Poitiers, within walking distance of Notre-Dame la Grande and Poitiers Palace. It offers air-conditioned guest rooms with a contemporary décor.
Each soundproofed room is equipped with a private bathroom, satellite channels on a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. The hotel rooms are serviced by a lift.
The room we had was a generous size, had tea/coffee making facilities and a terrace. The bathroom had a bath with a shower over which had good water pressure. Bed was clean and comfortable, air con worked well.
The location was perfect, straight out of the front door into the centre of town with loads of bars and restaurants to choose from. Secure underground parking is a great asset and was around 8€ for the night.

Located 800 metres from Poitiers Train Station, this hotel offers air-conditioned rooms with private bathroom, a bar and a 24-hour front desk. Free Wi-Fi is provided and public parking is possible nearby. At least in winter, it’s a centrally located, quiet location, 5 minutes from the main square, about 10 minutes from the station (but it’s a confusing exit—don’t walk down to street level; look for the walking bridge beyond the escalators). The staff were friendly, accommodating and helped with sight-seeing logistics. Breakfast was amazingly good, a lot of variety. The bed was so comfortable I slept 14 hours!

Very clean and designed with all possible needs of the traveller in mind. The owner was very friendly and although she did not speak English she managed to explain everything to us. The breakfast was really tasty as well.

A really beautiful boutique hotel in a lovely location. Good parking, friendly attentive staff and lovely room with a view. Breakfast was good and dinner was really excellent. Both meals were eaten outside on an attractive terrace. A real, unexpected find and good value.
