With free on-site parking and free Wi-Fi access for all guests, it also offers a bar and a restaurant. A vibrant and friendly English pub with rooms that was very welcoming with delicious food and drink and has won many awards for its cask ales and cider. Perfect location for our visit near Chelmsford being in the countryside and only 11 miles from Stansted airport, it may be remote for some but is so much better than the usual bland corporate hotels and a rare find nowadays.

With ironing supplies and a hairdryer, the rooms also include bathrobes, slippers, a minibar, and tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk and Costa Coffee. Beautiful location. Staff helpful and felt welcome.

The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage for guests. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed and lots of facilities in the room. Great range of cocktails in the bar and a fresh cooked breakfast in the morning. We appreciated the complimentary room upgrade. Colchester is lucky to have such a luxurious hotel.

Colchester’s North Hill Hotel provides luxurious bed and breakfast in Britain’s oldest town. Just off the High Street and 4 minutes’ drive from the train station, its well-appointed rooms and suites are complemented by a high-quality bistro restaurant. Julie was fantastic and very helpful and friendly. Had a lovely stay and really liked the team running the hotel.

Situated 25 minutes’ drive from London Stansted Airport, the Holiday Inn Express Harlow is enclosed by various shopping and leisure facilities. Harlow Town rail station is a 20-minute walk away and offers regular services to London Liverpool Street station and Cambridge. There is also an adjacent bus station. Good value for money stay, I only booked on the day. There were lovely, helpful staff. Good toiletries in the bathroom, large shower, big white fluffy towels. Breakfast had plenty of choice. Everywhere was clean. Reasonable price for on site parking made it very easy to stay here.
