Housed in a historic building, Shorehead Guest House features accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi in Stonehaven, 300 metres from Carron Beach. The 4-star guest house has sea views and is 26 km from Beach Ballroom. The guest house features family rooms. The location of this quaint and comfortable stay was difficult to leave. Our room was well maintained and comfortable with a lovely offering of treats to go with our coffee or tea. Upstairs the kitchen area provided even more offerings for breakfast and a lovely dining room and sitting room. Our host was readily available and helpful as well. Above all it is the location that feels like a step back in time to quieter and more peaceful times that creates a serene stay at this wonderful establishment.

On the banks of the River Dee, The Boat Inn in Aboyne offers accommodation, a cosy bar and restaurant. This Aberdeenshire inn lies around 4 miles east of the Cairngorms National Park, and provides free parking and Wi-Fi in public areas.

Aboyne is around 30 miles west of Aberdeen. The city’s vibrant Union Street shopping district features well-known stores and boutique shops and is less than 1 hour’s drive. The Boat Inn is somewhere in the middle of everything, if you follow the Deeside. We loved our room, big enough for two beds, which were bigger than singles. So rare anywhere in Scotland! Breakfast in the morning was ordered á la carte and fantastic, same goes for the evening meal. We stayed for dinner both nights at the restaurant of the Boat Inn. Personally I thought The Boat Inn was the best accommodation on our one week tour. Can't recommend it enough!

The room was huge, clean and quiet, and even came with a fridge. The bathroom was super spacious and functional. Breakfast was simply amazing and we dined at the pub in the evening too, which was also delicious! This was definitely the best accommodation we had on our 11 day trip to Scotland!

The Chester Hotel is a listed building dating from the 19th century, combining original design with striking, contemporary features. Set on Aberdeen's Queens Road, this beautiful hotel has a restaurant, free gym and private dining rooms, just 1.5 miles from Aberdeen Railway Station. Room had everything I needed with nice extra touches to welcome me to Aberdeen. Coffee maker worked great and the coffee chosen was tasty. The bed was super comfy. Tv was a great size. Small things like the shower controls being out of the way of the water as it fell made getting the right shower temp before heading in really easy and convenient. I was able to get up, out and travel about with comfort and convenience while enjoying the very well decorated and appointed room.
