Originally a wealthy sea captain’s mansion built in 1810, the Hotel Miranda is a fine example of characteristic local architecture. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and homey, really enjoyed it!

Diese traditionelle Villa begrüßt Sie nur 3 Gehminuten vom Hafen von Hydra entfernt und bietet Ihnen freundliches Personal sowie geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer mit Blick auf Hydra oder das Meer. On arrival we were welcomed by Nicholas who was extremely friendly and helpful. A great start to our stay. We were on the first floor and the room was a good size, the bed comfy, good wardrobe space, good air con, nice to have windows to open and let the sun in (even through the massive heat wave). The bathroom itself was small but did the job for our 5 night stay. The shower was a bit of a let down - very tight squeeze to get in and shut the doors (and we are average build). If we moved without thinking about this small space, we accidentally nudged the tap off or to the hot or cold side. Had to be super careful in that respect. The free breakfast was out of this world amazing, tasty, different every day, home cooked/made, abundant (got us through to the afternoon!). We looked forward to it every morning and ate 90 to 100% of it. Jenni was an amazing hostess who presented us with this breakfast daily and she tolerated my “5 to 6 cup coffee” husband with delightful dry humour! She always had a funny comment to make. Loved her! One of the house maids was super friendly and greeted us every time we saw her - sorry I didn’t get her name! Unlucky for us it was a heat wave the whole 5 days there so going back and forth from the city centre was quite the trek for this unfit oldish woman, but I achieved it 4 or 5 times a day, albeit puffed on arrival. On a cooler day it would be very pleasant. A thousand thank you’s Jenni, Nicholas and friendly housemaid - you made our stay in Hydra magical. Das Angelica Traditional Boutique Hotel begrüßt Sie in einem historischen Gebäude im Herzen von Hydra und bietet Ihnen reizvolle Unterkünfte mit einer Whirlpool-Badewanne oder einer Massagedusche. Viel bereist habe ich noch nie in allen Punkten 10/10 vergeben. Das Personal war super freundlich und professionell, Zimmer mit Balkon und schönen Liegestühlen an schöner, etwas ruhigeren Lage. Ich wünsche diesem Hotel nur nette Gäste.

Das Orloff Boutique Hotel befindet sich in einem der historischen Herrenhäuser aus dem 18. I loved that it was luxury yet traditional. Our room was spacious with lots of light and views to the town and the sea in the distance.

Weniger als 800 m von Strand Avlaki und 400 m von Hafen Hydra entfernt in Hydra gelegen, bietet die Unterkunft Amaryllis Hotel Zimmer in Hydra. Amarylis ist ein einfaches kleines familiäres Hotel, fast direkt am Hafen und trotzdem ruhig, da unser Zimmer das Fenster in einer Seitenstrasse hatte. Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach möbliert. Bett, Steinboden, ein Kasten, Kühlschrank und ein kleines Bad, aber sehr sauber in einem typischen griechischen Altstadthaus. Auf der netten Dachterrasse hat man einen schönen Überblick über Hydra Stadt. Es gibt auch täglich frische Badetücher für den Strand und an der Rezeption eine Nespresso Maschine mit Kapseln und Milch, die man jederzeit nutzen kann. Jeden Tag wird das Zimmer geputzt und neue Handtücher hingelegt. Ein besonderes Plus ist, dass das Hotel keine 100m vom Fähranleger mitten in der Altstadt liegt und alle Tavernen und Bars nur ein paar Schritte entfernt sind. Dazu ein sehr netter, herzlicher und gesprächiger Eigentümer, der immer von morgens um 08:00 bis 19:30 im Hotel war, und immer gerne Tips und Empfehlungen gibt, die für uns sehr hilfreich waren. Gerne wieder in diesem Hotel, wenn auf Hydra.
