From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The location is simply stunning, offering breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea — it truly made our stay unforgettable. The staff were outstandingly friendly, professional, and helpful, always going out of their way to make us feel welcome and well taken care of. The hotel restaurant was another highlight, offering an exceptional breakfast and dining experience with delicious food, a great atmosphere, and those same beautiful sea views. Everything about this hotel - from the room to the service - was flawless. We couldn’t think of a single thing that didn’t exceed our expectations. Located 900 metres from the centre of Lovran and just 20 metres from the nearest beach, Hotel Villa Astra is set in a quiet area, next to the 15-km long seaside promenade and consists of a main building and an annex. Buffet breakfast is available on site, as well as a Wellness Area. Free parking and free Wi-Fi are offered. A magnificent villa from the AUS-HUN monarchy overlooking a picturesque bay — you can literally jump into the crystal-clear, rocky sea right from the garden. The villa’s garden is beautiful, and the freshwater pool is heated. Breakfast exceeded all expectations. The bed in the room was extremely comfortable. A truly relaxing atmosphere. You can walk to the center of the charming little town in about 15 minutes along a picturesque seaside promenade. When we arrived around 9:30 PM, the owner welcomed us with a glass of local pálinka on the terrace and sat down to chat with us about the villa and the surrounding area.

Built in 1909 by a Viennese entrepreneur Anton Urm, this hotel has hosted numerous aristocratic guests, including the Austrian-Hungarian emperor Franz Joseph. It was rebuilt almost 80 years later, with attention to its original design and preserving a romantic atmosphere. Breakfast was diverse and really nice 👍🙂

Completely renovated in 2020 and housed in an Austro-Hungarian villa dating back to 1886, this 5-star hotel is situated amid a well-groomed St. Jacob Park in the centre of Opatija. Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout the property and the Slatina Beach is just 100 metres away. We had an absolutely delightful stay at Hotel St. Jakob in Opatija. The location could not be more perfect—right in the heart of the town, surrounded by beautiful parks and just steps from the sea. The hotel itself has a charming, historic character combined with modern comfort, making it both elegant and cozy. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, always ready with a smile and helpful recommendations that made our time in Opatija even more enjoyable. The room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared. We are very thankful for the warm hospitality, the welcoming atmosphere and the thoughtful gift we received there. St. Jakob truly made us feel at home and added so much joy to our trip. We would happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting Opatija.

Built in 1910 in the Secessionist style, the villa consists of accommodation units with air conditioning, internet connection, a TV, minibar and a safe. Featuring a wellness & spa centre, the newly renovated Hotel Bellevue - Liburnia is housed in a beautiful Empire-style building, as one of the oldest hotel it is considered a local landmark. Ideally set along the main street facing the sea, it offers free Wi-Fi and an à-la-carte restaurant. The reception was very helpful in recommending dinner a few steps from the hotel. Dining room staff very professional and efficient.

Hotel Astoria in Opatija was built in 1904 in the elegant Austro-Hungarian style, and after renovation in 2024, combining modern design and traditional spirit, it is offering beautifully equipped air conditioned rooms in natural tones with free internet access.
