Absolutely great restaurant onsite with wonderful service and food for breakfast and dinner overlooking the water. Attentive staff at checkin. Private parking. Great location with easy access to central town location and beaches.

Located 900 metres from the centre of Lovran and just 20 metres from the nearest beach, Hotel Villa Astra is set in a quiet area, next to the 15-km long seaside promenade and consists of a main building and an annex. Buffet breakfast is available on site, as well as a Wellness Area. Free parking and free Wi-Fi are offered. You arrive in paradise: gorgeous Mediterranean villa surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers! The owner and staff are very welcoming. We spent time on the terrace where we also had a wonderful breakfast the next day. Our room was very spacious and clean with balcony overlooking the property and a window with a sea view. From the terrace you walk out on the private beach and can stroll for 10 min into the town center along the water. Everything about Villa Astra is perfect! We are very impressed! Would love to come back!

Built in 1909 by a Viennese entrepreneur Anton Urm, this hotel has hosted numerous aristocratic guests, including the Austrian-Hungarian emperor Franz Joseph. It was rebuilt almost 80 years later, with attention to its original design and preserving a romantic atmosphere. Breakfast was diverse and really nice 👍🙂

Completely renovated in 2020 and housed in an Austro-Hungarian villa dating back to 1886, this 5-star hotel is situated amid a well-groomed St. Jacob Park in the centre of Opatija. Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout the property and the Slatina Beach is just 100 metres away. Everything was just wow! First of all, I really liked that the hotel is small and cozy. The staff is super attentive and just pleasant people you want to talk to. Breakfasts… that’s a whole other story — fantasy on the edge of a culinary fairy tale. Very tasty! 😋 The beach is literally two steps away. Although the hotel doesn’t have its own private beach, you can either lay out your stuff for free or rent sunbeds - 25 euros for two with an umbrella. And they’re so comfy that I seriously thought about buying one for home 😂 The bed is truly royal - both in length and height! I slept like a lion on a throne 😄 There’s also a nice park nearby - perfect for evening walks. I sat on a bench in the shade, opened a book, fresh air around, birds singing… Romantic! Just don’t forget mosquito spray to enjoy it fully. Definitely recommend! 🌟

Modern-style bathrooms include a hairdryer and free toiletries. Glamorous hotel 50 meters away from the statue of Girl with a seagull. Staff was amazing, polite, but not pushy at any moment. Room modern and clean, view to die for.

Featuring a wellness & spa centre, the newly renovated Hotel Bellevue - Liburnia is housed in a beautiful Empire-style building, as one of the oldest hotel it is considered a local landmark. Ideally set along the main street facing the sea, it offers free Wi-Fi and an à-la-carte restaurant. Great location, staff helpful and friendly. Room was large & loved the towel warmer in the bathroom. Large selections for breakfast. Our room balcony was a lovely relaxing spot to enjoy the view.

Hotel Astoria in Opatija was built in 1904 in the elegant Austro-Hungarian style, and after renovation in 2024, combining modern design and traditional spirit, it is offering beautifully equipped air conditioned rooms in natural tones with free internet access. Receptionist Dorotea was very friendly and helpful, the other receptionist whose name I don’t know was as well!The view from my room (apartment) was breathtaking, I could see the sea from the bed!
