The famous monastery of Glendalough is just 15 minutes’ drive away. Lovely comfortable room. We only stayed one night as a stop over before catching the ferry from Dublin in the morning. The breakfast was fantastic, we both went for the Porridge option with berries. Also came with honey, syrup and cream. Very good portion, I couldn't eat it all! Everything is very well presented. Thankyou Daphne for a comfortable last night after our week long road trip around the south west coast of Ireland. Highly recommended.

The traditional Gold Mines Bar has live music every night during summer months, including traditional Irish nights. The award-winning Redmond Restaurant serves both modern and traditional Irish cuisine alongside an extensive range of wines. Very well appointed, amazing staff, ample parking space, in a beautiful location and very peaceful. The place is historic. The bistro serves amazing food and a very good selection of beer and drinks. The Smoke House restaurant also serves very good food and it is by the river Avoca. Breakfast is excellent. Will definitely return to this great hotel.

Free WiFi is available throughout. Beautiful premesis. Very Cosy and quaint. Extensive grounds with lots to do. Rooms were massive - great traditional style decor. Excellent facilities - pool and sauna were great. Fluffy towels and bathrobe provided - sadly, the bathrobes were one size and didn't really fit us. Delicious breakfast - great staff.

With its open fire and extensive ales selection, it's the perfect place to unwind after a day in the Wicklow Mountains. What a lovely hotel ! The location is perfect for visiting Glendalough park ; even though it;s on a (not overly busy ) highway , our room was quiet and peaceful - we had the windows open to the sound of a stream on the property , very nice ! Also the food was exceptional , Aunty Biddies Guinness stew was the best we've tasted in Ireland , and the service was quick and friendly . Will need a return trip I think !
