Das nur 450 m vom Damaskustor entfernt gelegene Jerusalem Hotel ist ein elegantes, arabisches Herrenhaus aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. The staff are wonderful, and the food is very good. The hotel itself is utterly charming.

This hotel has been our home away from home in Jerusalem for years now, and it never disappoints! It's located in a quiet area, with a public (and free) parking lot just a couple of minutes on foot from the hotel; I'd suggest to have a car, because while there are a few restaurants nearby, if you want to go to Jerusalem city centre it's the best way. A big bonus of this hotel is the garden, an oasis of calm, beautiful in every season. The services and amenities are excellent and the staff goes out of their way to make guests feel home (thank you so much, we really feel part of the Alegra family!). Our favourite room is in the main building, with direct access to the garden (and when possible, the hotel accomodates our special request, like they did this time), but I can assure you that also the rooms in the building right opposite the street have the same beauty, unique style and another little garden (but guests are always welcome to come to the main building to enjoy the garden and the dining room/coffee corner). I highly recommend, at least one morning during your stay, to indulge in the rich, fresh and absolutely delicious breakfast (Israeli, with salad, bread, cheese, eggs, shakshuka... but you'll also find something if you prefer a sweet treat to start your day) - and the dining room is stunning and full of light, too!

Das 2014 eröffnete Eyal Hotel liegt 100 m vom Zionsplatz in Jerusalem entfernt und bietet eine modern eingerichtete Unterbringung mit kostenlosem WLAN. Die Große Synagoge ist 600 m entfernt. I needed a hotel which was quiet and dark so not to be woken from the morning sunlight and Eyal hotels have rooms with this description. On each floor they have a few quiet rooms, the window has no view and no natural light. The room was very quiet as there was no sound of traffic. It was pitch black with the curtains closed. This was perfect for me. Breakfast was nice, lots of salads to chose from. The private car park was amazing. The staff were really helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was everything you could imagine and more. They were so happy to fix us breakfast, made us feel welcome and at home :)
