A true boutique hotel with 12 rooms in a central location with excellent service and efficiency. As soon as we arrived, the lady at the reception came to greet us and helped us with our luggage. She was extremely helpful and proactive in organising our plans for our stay (taxi to the airport, timings for breakfast, etc) and showed us to our room and explained everything. She even gave us a luggage scale to weigh our bags for our upcoming wizz air flight. The room itself had everything we needed and was immaculately clean and very quiet on the top floor. Very comfortable bed and an amazing marble shower with three different settings and a door that fully seals so you get a lovely steam effect. Soft towels and the most comfortable bathrobes and slippers. They had also put the radiators on in the bathroom before our arrival (knowing we're from Australia and not used to the cold), which was a kind touch. Lots of complimentary amenities, including individual toiletries and bottled spring water. We also had a skylight in our room, which was nice. The design and decor of the hotel was very tasteful and elegant. There was a lift/elevator too, which is not always a given in Italy. Breakfast was fantastic, and everything was of the highest quality, no pre-packaged supermarket pastries here! The crossiants were heavenly. Included with the cold cuts, pastries, fruits, yogurts, juices, etc. was barista coffee and a hot dish made by the chef. It was so beautifully plated. My only regret was that we had to leave for our flight so we couldn't fully enjoy it. Make sure you make time for breakfast! I don't think I could stay anywhere else in Bergamo after staying at Petronilla. It's worth the extra price compared to Best Western, Mercure, etc. The staff are highly trained and the hotel is very well run. Highly recommend.

The view was spectacular, overlooking the Forresto Sparso valley. The rooms were finished to a really high standard, very spacious, plenty of parking. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the dogs were great companion to my kids! The restaurant was also superb, probably one of the best meal we had in our 8 days in Italy so far. Not to mention their own sparkling wine being of very high standard.

The Lady at the reception speaks very good english and the room was GREAT!

Superb view of the lake while being only 5 minutes walk from the lakeside. Lake Iseo offers stunning scenery with excellent restaurants nearby. Extremely friendly host and family who were always around to advise. The swimming pool is a quiet oasis of peace and tranquility.

By far the hotel with the best location in all of Bergamo. Located in the old town, it is a short walk from all the main sites. The BF is excellent and the staff polite and courteous. The rooms were spacious and although they don't have an evening turn down service, our requirements for extra water etc were attended to without fuss even later in the evenings.

Fantastic view on the river and the town. Excellent reception by very friendly family. Exquisite dinner in separate restaurant with marvellous view on the river. Delicious breakfast.

Conveniently located, clean, comfortable and friendly staff - Met me after a late flight and checked me in quickly. Very comfortable remote control for the lights next to the bed. The red lighted bathroom was a delight! Special thanks for the bottle of Berlucchi in the room fridge. It was just a super bonus after an exhausting trip!

Great location - from the airport, to the railway station if you want to explore a little bit, and also to the city of Bergamo, shops and restaurants are close. Wifi is working well. Very kind host, who let us leave our baggages after check-out, since our plane left only in the evening. Absolutely recommended :D
