Hotel Kifu Hotel Shiretoko is a 10-minute drive from Shiretoko National Park, which is assigned as a UNESCO World Heritage. Guests can enjoy the sunset and sea views from their rooms and refresh in the public hot-spring bath. Guests can use free WiFi in all areas. A lovely small hotel facing the Sea of Okhotsk where you can see a beautiful sunset right in front of your room. The Japanese-style room is spacious with a large window facing the sea. The private open bath is excellent. At dinner, you get the chance to make a variety of tempura by yourself which is kind of fun. This hotel is not far from Oshinkoshin Waterfalls and the Shiretoko Nature Center and the five lakes. I will definitely come back again, perhaps in mid-February to see the ice floes in front of this hotel.

Just a 1-minute walk from Kita-no-Mine Gondola Station at Furano Ski Resort, Chalet Fuyuri offers apartment-style accommodations with a living room and kitchen. Free wired Wi-Fi is available and guests can sit on the spacious sofa and watch DVDs on the flat-screen TV. A free shuttle is available from JR Furano Train Station, which is a 10-minute drive away. We loved the proximity of the slopes We hired three of the 5 chalets, all had their own entrances and so were great for 3 groups of 4 people. The sitting room area meant all 12 of us could meet and eat together. Would highly recommend if skiing in Furano. To get to the main supermarkets in Furano you need a car. We managed perfectly by hiring one car and most of the group getting the airport shuttle which stops fairly close by

Situated within 6.5 km of Goryokaku Park and 6.8 km of Hakodate Goryokaku in Hakodate, Pension Jokura offers accommodation with seating area. The 2-star guest house has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom and free WiFi. Free private parking is available and the guest house also features bike hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. Pension Jokura is very warm and welcoming. The couple hosting is lovely and friendly, will make you feel at home. I stayed in a single Japanese room and was perfect, spacious and comfortable. There are shared bathrooms and shower divided for males and females and although the pension was almost full I never had to wait more than a few minutes to use them. There are also 4 shared sinks, more than enough for everyone. The location perhaps it's the only element to check before depending on you plans:the zone is great as it's less than 10mins walking from the main attractions of the city such as red brick building, old town hall or even the mount Hakodate ropeway, but is not too near the station (note I'm referring to the JR station, the shin-Hakodate is far northern and not in the city). There are tram or bus available but worth noting that when I left, the ghost gave me a ride to the station, saving me almost half an hour.

The JR Hakodate Train Station is a 15-minute drive away. Wonderful food and superb facilities. The hot spring bathing was so relaxing! The staff were friendly and professional. I came away feeling totally refreshed and relaxed.

Featuring a minimalistic design, all rooms are fitted with original pillows and a flat-screen TV. Shower facilities are provided in all rooms, while only some rooms come with a bathtub. We love everything! Located at the station and on top of a shopping mall, very convenient. Everything was so clean and tidy. We love the toiletries. The lounge was really nice, too, since we had to wait for our train after checking out. There’s coin laundry which helped us a lot since we were traveling for a while. The staffs are able to speak multiples languages so that is a plus.

I had so much fun time soaking up in different onsens and saunas. It was very very relaxing. The location is also very good.
