Every detail is well thought of, and the location near Takayama Old city is great.

The large public bath on the 3rd floor will be undergoing renovations from Monday, January 5th to Friday, January 23rd, 2026. During this period, the large public bath will be unavailable. It will be available from 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 24th.

At The Royal Park Canvas Nagoya, guests can relax in the public baths or use the designated smoking area. Luggage storage is available at the front desk. It locates very close to Nagoya station to which you have direct access from the airport. And there are rental car stations near the hotel too. It is one of the best hotels for tourists who need easy access to trains / airlines / cars.

Just 40 metres from restored Edo-era post town Magome-Juku, Chaya Hotel has simple traditional rooms with futon bedding and a tatami-mat floor. It has a hot public bath, and Japanese meals are available for a fee. This place was the highlight of our Trip in Japan. The food is fantastic and room was modest but we found it very authentic. This place is a experience more than only an accommodation.

The hotel is located in the center of Takayama city, and there are many restaurants around. The Japanese-style accommodation offers spacious public baths. No meals are provided, but bread and soup are provided as light meals in the room. Free parking is provided on site. Absolutely fantastic stay in Takayama. Quaint, charming ryokan a short walk (700m) from the historical city center for great value for money. Friendly staff, private bathroom and toilet, sparkling clean.
