It is only a 2-minute walk from a ferry stop, where guests can board sightseeing cruises. Free WiFi is offered in all areas. Everything was great, we could enjoy some authentic hospitability. Our traditional style room was very nice and surprisingly comfortable. The staff was well trained, professional, and polite. We have been picked up at the bus station and brought to the hotel on arrival, as well on our way back. We could enjoy the public and private onsen as well which as a very nice experience, especially seeing Mt. Fuji from the private onsen as a small family. The kaiseki diner we had after bathing was superb, and it was an experience on it's own. Even we only spent one night there, we could relax and wind down. We opted to take the cable car nearby to see Mt. Fuji, and rented some bikes to cycle around the other day before we departed from the town.

Sleeping arrangements are Japanese-style, with futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Parking is free. The atmosphere of this small village tucked away in the mountains is truly unique. You can feel a soothing calm, especially after visiting big cities like Tokyo, Kyoto, or Osaka. The lady who welcomed us was incredibly kind — she lent us bicycles for a short ride and recommended a lovely little restaurant that was delicious. When we left, she even drove us to Kawaguchiko Station. Everything was perfect; we’ll definitely come back.

Guests at Mt. Fuji K’s House can choose a bed in a dormitory room or experience a Japanese room with futon beds and tatami (woven-straw) flooring. The hostel was extremely clean and the personnel was very kind. I arrived earlier thank check in time and I could store my luggage there and use lounge room in the meantime! Location is also very good: 20 minutes walk from the train station, 10 minutes from the lake and Lawson is just around the corner.

It offers a public bath, a Japanese restaurant and free WiFi access. Perfect location, right next to the train and bus station, with many restaurants and shops nearby. 10 minutes walk to the lake. Our tatami room is very clean and tidy, with the amazing view of Mt. Fuji right outside of our window. We were so lucky with the weather as well, cloudless blue sky for the whole two days so we had superb view of the Fuji everyday. It was very interesting to try the traditional Japanese room and to sleep in the futons. Top floor public bath is very nice too. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Great value for money.
