The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s... Perfect stay! The Grand Apartment Suite was exceptionally comfortable and the staff were very patient and quick to accomodate to our requests. The cocktails were amazing and we loved having drinks on the hotel verandah in the evening, very picturesque. Breakfast items were yummy and the pool was very inviting.

This was our second stop upon arrival in Sri Lanka, after a night and day in Colombo. It has been my and my daughter's top favorite hotel and stay, because mainly of its colonial and historical charm. A wonderful place, led by a female manager, which is to be underlined, a very nice lady. The staff is local, the attention to detail as well (!), the food and breakfast are super copious, generous and fresh, there is a nice à la carte menu, and the pool is wonderful. My daughter enjoyed it! We were lucky to be and visit Galle during the week-end, so we didn't feel the over-touristic crowd and atmosphere, since many Sri Lankan were strolling along the city walls, visiting. This is definitely a very touristic spot, the many shops attest this, but there are a few very nice and niche places. Stay min 2 nights, and if you can and want you may tour the nearby beaches and towns and wildlife reserves from there, this is possible. We've also enjoyed our train ride from Colombo to Galle, which is not too long and absolutely wonderful in the lush coastline greenery. We loved our room, its setup, the geometry and decoration of the hotel, the beautiful purple lotus flowers and the local touches everywhere. Chic. It pleased my eye every day!

Close to a clean and comfortable beach for swimming, a bus station, a railway station, shops, markets, and cafes. Everything you need is within walking distance from the house. The house itself and the surrounding area are very tidy , beautiful and clean. The owner, his family, and the assistant are friendly and pleasant people. There are tables and chairs on the premises, perfect for relaxing. There's also a shared living room where we had interesting conversations with the owner. Additionally, we were taught how to cook jackfruit and banana flower. After cooking, we enjoyed a communal dinner. The breakfasts are fresh and delicious. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with everything necessary provided. It’s convenient for both short stays and longer-term visits. Thank you for the hospitality. We highly recommend this place for staying in Hikkaduwa!

Eigentlich alles: Die Lage ist top, das Zimmer war angenehm geräumig, das Essen lecker, die Menschen nett und insgesamt ist das Haus sehr gepflegt.

Die Villa Amma Erna begrüßt Sie mit einem Außenpool und kostenfreiem Internetzugang. Es verfügt über ein modernes Interieur und stilvolle Zimmer mit Ventilator. Traumhafte Unterkunft! Super schönes Design und Architektur. Sehr sehr nettes und persönliches Personal. Tolle hochklassige Küche mit frischen Produkten von vor Ort (und wir haben viel Erfahrung im Fine Dining Bereich). Der Brunch, den man gemeinsam mit anderen Gästen (Max. 6 Personen) am großen Tisch einnimmt war einmalig. Individuelle Wünsche werden jeder Zeit erfüllt. Zimmer sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Durch die offene Architektur war Lautstärke in früheren Reviews bemängelt worden, dies war für uns eher bereichernd als störend die Natur zu hören. Außerdem tolle Empfehlungen zu Aktivitäten in der Gegend sowie Restaurants in Galle (von lokaler Küche bis Fine Dining)! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt (tatsächlich so wohl wie nie zuvor in Sei Lanka) und würden jeder Zeit wiederkommen.

Ideal gelegen im Zentrum von Galle bietet die Unterkunft Fort de 19 Villa - Galle Fort kostenloses WLAN in der ganzen Unterkunft, eine Terrasse und einen kostenlosen Privatparkplatz für Gäste, die mit... Die Lage war hervorragend - direkter Blick auf Fort Galle von der Dachterrasse aus. Zimmer war groß und geschmackvoll eingerichtet - angenehm großes Bad. Es war alles vorhanden (Wasserkocher, Fön, Teebeutel, Wasser). Die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Klare Empfehlung, wir kommen sicher wieder.

Das Sergent House befindet sich neben dem Strand Unawatuna in einer Boutique-Villa mit kolonialer Architektur und ursprünglichem Flair. There are not many properties where all points you can give are actually not enough, but the Sergeant House is such a place. We stayed in the 3-Bedroom-Villa with our kids and had a fantastic time. It’s literally impossible to say what we have enjoyed more, the attention given to us by the staff or the amazing property. We are definitely looking forward to repeat this experience again.

Sri Lanka architektonisches Meisterwerk Dunes Unawatuna Hotel ist ein umweltfreundliches Boutique-Hotel in der Nähe des schönen Unawatuna Strand (100 Meter / 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt). Beautiful room on an amazing complex. Loved the garden and the location to town / beach. Everything was wonderful and the staff were very attentive.

Durch geräumige, klimatisierte Zimmer mit Meerblick, kostenfreiem WLAN und hohen Decken besticht das Hotel Roman Beach am Strand von Hikkaduwa. We had a wonderful stay at Roman Beach Hotel. The service was exceptional and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was another highlight — delicious, with large portions that really exceeded expectations. The hotel wasn’t crowded, which made the atmosphere very relaxing. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It does show a bit of age, but nothing that affects comfort. We also had a jacuzzi in the room, which was a nice touch. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly — we were able to stream Netflix and YouTube without any lag. There was no TV in the room, possibly removed for repairs. Also, since we were on the top floor, the water pressure was a bit low. The location is right on the beachfront, but the beach itself is almost non-existent as the sea comes very close to the property. However, Narigama Beach is just a short 30-meter walk away and is much better for a beach experience. Overall, it was a really enjoyable and comfortable stay. Exceptional value for money. Would definitely recommend!
