The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s... From the moment we arrived, the reception team greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism, making us feel instantly at home. The Library Room was an absolute delight—elegantly furnished with plush seating, rich wood accents, and a curated collection of books. On the morning, we were treated to an exceptional breakfast spread, offering a diverse array of delicious options.

This was our second stop upon arrival in Sri Lanka, after a night and day in Colombo. It has been my and my daughter's top favorite hotel and stay, because mainly of its colonial and historical charm. A wonderful place, led by a female manager, which is to be underlined, a very nice lady. The staff is local, the attention to detail as well (!), the food and breakfast are super copious, generous and fresh, there is a nice à la carte menu, and the pool is wonderful. My daughter enjoyed it! We were lucky to be and visit Galle during the week-end, so we didn't feel the over-touristic crowd and atmosphere, since many Sri Lankan were strolling along the city walls, visiting. This is definitely a very touristic spot, the many shops attest this, but there are a few very nice and niche places. Stay min 2 nights, and if you can and want you may tour the nearby beaches and towns and wildlife reserves from there, this is possible. We've also enjoyed our train ride from Colombo to Galle, which is not too long and absolutely wonderful in the lush coastline greenery. We loved our room, its setup, the geometry and decoration of the hotel, the beautiful purple lotus flowers and the local touches everywhere. Chic. It pleased my eye every day!

Die Dachterrasse bietet für alle ein richtig schönen Ausblick, ob beim Frühstück oder zum Sonnenuntergang, was will man mehr. Danke für diesen schönen Aufenthalt.

The views from the property were absolutely amazing! We could just hang out by the pool in the morning and watch the peacock and monkeys fool around which was a blast. The room was perfect with high ceilings, an abundance of natural sunlight (can shade if you want), and as clean as can be. The host and staff couldn’t have been more kind! They helped arrange rides, provided local dining options, activities to consider…pretty much you name it! The breakfast spread we had in the morning was, without question, the best we had during our trip! We couldn’t have been happier with the little time we were able to have there & we owe it all to the amazing people running it!!! ☺️

The best place we have stayed during our travels throughout the world. Beautiful and comfortable room with own terrace, nice pool, lovely breakfast and attentive staff. Own part of a beach area with hammocks and beach chairs (the actual beach is not private, but only used by a few). Highly recommended

Sri Lanka architektonisches Meisterwerk Dunes Unawatuna Hotel ist ein umweltfreundliches Boutique-Hotel in der Nähe des schönen Unawatuna Strand (100 Meter / 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt). It's a really nice property with great staff and great service. It's relaxing to have a place like this out from the madness of the local town. Good food, too.

Die Suite Lanka liegt am Sandstrand Hikkaduwa, einem der breitesten Strände an der Westküste Sri Lankas. Freuen Sie sich auf geräumige Unterkünfte, einen Außenpool und ein Restaurant. Einfach alles war super. Super nette Servicemitarbeiter und auch ein sympathischer Manager. Von den Zimmern hat man einen tollen Ausblick auf das Meer und kann den wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang perfekt beobachten. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber. Ein tolles, familiäres Hotel. Toll fand ich, dass es auch Spielsachen für Kinder gab. Wir hatten den Ball im Pool benutzt. Der Pool ist sehr sauber. Es gab jeden Tag frisches gefiltertes Wasser.
