Great location, very beautifully done and renovated. Very unique room with 10mt high ceilings. Attentive staff, serene and peaceful ambiance and great value for money. What else would you ask ?

Authentic colonial atmosphere with old doors, old windows and some touches of modern style (lamps, chairs in the restaurant). All matches very well - really a gorgeous piece of interior architecture. Friendly, caring and attentive staff! Huge room , relaxed atmosphere, great breakfast - you can choose continental or Sri Lanken and get it served. We had Sri Lanken and it was excellent. You can also choose in which of their lovely seating areas you want to be served. So much individuality Treatment was like in a 5 star hotel ! Would have loved to stay much longer! Hotel itself would be a reason to come back to Galle

Der Brunch, den man gemeinsam mit anderen Gästen (Max. 6 Personen) am großen Tisch einnimmt war einmalig. Individuelle Wünsche werden jeder Zeit erfüllt. Zimmer sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Durch die offene Architektur war Lautstärke in früheren Reviews bemängelt worden, dies war für uns eher bereichernd als störend die Natur zu hören. Außerdem tolle Empfehlungen zu Aktivitäten in der Gegend sowie Restaurants in Galle (von lokaler Küche bis Fine Dining)! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt (tatsächlich so wohl wie nie zuvor in Sei Lanka) und würden jeder Zeit wiederkommen.

I recently stayed at this charming homestay located within the historic Galle Fort, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the fort, with easy access to its cobblestone streets, boutique shops, and delicious restaurants. However, the real highlight of this place is its stunning rooftop. The rooftop offers one of the breathtaking sunset views I’ve ever seen, specially you can enjoy lot of people hanging around on holidays with their family & friends , watch locals playing cricket , see people sitting enjoying the sun set on the wall & some even flying kites on the ramparts along with the sunset which is RARE. Every evening, I found myself eagerly heading up to watch the sky transform into a canvas of vibrant oranges, pinks, and purples as the sun dipped below the horizon. The panoramic view of the fort, the ocean, and the surrounding area made it feel like a private paradise. It’s the ideal spot to unwind with a cup of tea or a good book after a day of exploring. My room was beautiful & perfect with the Balcony & it had everything you want to make your stay comfortable. Comfy bed & water pressure was great. It had 2 large French windows which gives a bright light to the room. The homestay itself is cozy and well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, providing helpful tips about the area. While breakfast isn’t included, there are plenty of fantastic cafes and eateries within walking distance, so it wasn’t an issue at all. If you’re looking for a peaceful and picturesque place to stay in Galle Fort, this homestay is an excellent choice. The rooftop alone is worth the stay, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who loves a good sunset view. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Sri Lanka.

Das Sergent House befindet sich neben dem Strand Unawatuna in einer Boutique-Villa mit kolonialer Architektur und ursprünglichem Flair. Sehr nettes Personal, Hotel war sehr sauber und sehr gut gelegen. Pool und Frühstück waren traumhaft. Essen war im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants ziemlich günstig und lecker. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sogar noch ein Tag verlangert :)

Durch geräumige, klimatisierte Zimmer mit Meerblick, kostenfreiem WLAN und hohen Decken besticht das Hotel Roman Beach am Strand von Hikkaduwa. We had a wonderful stay at Roman Beach Hotel. The service was exceptional and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was another highlight — delicious, with large portions that really exceeded expectations. The hotel wasn’t crowded, which made the atmosphere very relaxing. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It does show a bit of age, but nothing that affects comfort. We also had a jacuzzi in the room, which was a nice touch. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly — we were able to stream Netflix and YouTube without any lag. There was no TV in the room, possibly removed for repairs. Also, since we were on the top floor, the water pressure was a bit low. The location is right on the beachfront, but the beach itself is almost non-existent as the sea comes very close to the property. However, Narigama Beach is just a short 30-meter walk away and is much better for a beach experience. Overall, it was a really enjoyable and comfortable stay. Exceptional value for money. Would definitely recommend!
