Lush tropical gardens, an infinity pool, and the scenic beach at sunset will make your heart skip a beat in the best way possible. Our stay at the Eraeliya exceeded our expectations. While it looks cool in the photos, it is even cooler to experience in person. We loved having breakfast on the terrace every morning and the pool is my favorite pool I've ever swam in. The servers, Deen and Rex, added to our stay with their friendliness and exceptional service. Location is great in that it is close to town, but also secluded from the hustle and bustle of Weligama. There are tuk tuk drivers always waiting outside the gate to take you where ever you need to go. I'd recommend staying here 10 out of 10 times and hope to return one day!

Featuring impressive ocean views and an outdoor swimming pool, Villa Atulya at Ocean's edge is set at the seafront in South Mirissa. The building is an exclusive villa and features colourful rooms with antique furnishings and free Wi-Fi. We had 4 rooms booked and had the entire villa to ourselves and the villa staff were very accommodating - even our very late arrival (after 12 midnight) . Location is fantastic- right on the beach- rocky but you can walk along the rocks to sandy stretches . The Villa is walkable to attractions in Mirissa- including coconut tree hill and lovely little coves where we snorkelled with sea turtles. Short tuktuk ride to the main beach restaurant/ Bar strip which is lively during sunset/ evening.

Offering a private beach and beach side restaurant, Beach Inns Holiday Resort is located in Matara. It features various of activities including diving, fishing, cycling and turtle watching from the on-site terrace. Free Wi-Fi is available in public area. The location is very nice, like a hidden gem. The manager and all the staff ate very correct and helpful.

Set in the south of Sri Lanka just a 45-minute drive from Galle City, Handagedara Resort & Spa is also a 1.5-hour drive from the beautiful Sinharaja Rainforest. Bandaranaike International Airport is 3 hours away by car. By far the best hotel we stayed at in Sri Lanka! The shower had warm water, the swimming pool was very pleasant and clean, with comfortable sunbeds, pool towels, and even a bar. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and in the room we had tea, coffee, and water that was replenished daily. The finishing touches throughout the hotel were beautiful, and we also felt safe with a security guard at the entrance in the evenings. What made our stay truly outstanding was the personal service: snorkeling, surfing, and even a taxi were all arranged for us at very good prices. We couldn’t have wished for a better experience!

Situated 1 km from whale watching at Mirissa Lagoon, Morning Star Guest House offers a spacious common living area with plush sofas, a flat-screen TV, and a seaview balcony. Complimentary Wi-Fi access is provided. All in all a very beautiful place with a very nice Pool, good breakfast, lovely people and many squirrels and monkeys around. It was very clean and the location was perfect to get to the beach, City or coconut tree hill etc.
