Located near the port, this is a perfect spot for exploring KK and Sabah! We stayed on the 11th floor (sea view) and the rooms were amazing, huge, very well equipped with comfy beds, well equipped WC and an awesome bathtub (kind of reminded me of a honeymoon suite) the window facing the ocean was huge (glass wall), it was wonderful seeing the sunset in bed!. Breakfast was delicious with many choices between western and malay foods. The swimming pool was small, but excellent for a afternoon refreshing swim. Very good service with helpful staff. Loved it!

Great value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful, location is excellent and overall really enjoyed our visit. Our reservation didn’t include breakfast but on the first day we ate downstairs and it was excellent.

The breakfast and the restaurant setting were both excellent. The COVID-period price was especially friendly. The pier is across the street, and traditional markets are definitely worth visiting for foreigners. Posh department stores are also within walking distance. The rooms are large enough for the two of us to work independently. The lobby by the reception is worth mentioning as it provides space for several groups, and the deco has a clear theme: knowledge.

We stayed for 5 nights at this hotel. We had a studio on the 10th floor which had great views across the city. Our apartment was stylish, quiet, pristine and spacious with an open plan lounge/kitchen area, a well equipped bathroom (super shower) and airy bedroom with excellent air con.The reception staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Complimentary coffee was served in the lobby area…….Darrel and Alexander were great hosts! The hotel is opposite “The Spring” shopping mall and close to a variety of restaurants and cafes. We were there during Oktoberfest so the area outside “Spring” was buzzing and welcoming in the evenings, with live music and beer on tap! The cost of a “Grab” taxi (like an Uber) was around R8 (around £1.50 at time of writing) to the waterfront. There is a swimming pool and gym but we didn’t use them although the pool looked very inviting. We had originally planned to stay for 2 nights but extended it to 5 as the place worked for us.

The front desk staff was very helpful. They even booked a cab for my return and the early morning cab arrived with plenty of time to spare.

Such a comfortable bed, great size of room and shower good. Really nice local eateries very close by - didn’t mind the walk into town or even better hop on the free bus!
