Initially, I found the price a bit high, but after spending the night there, I can confidently say it was worth every penny. The serenity, the comfort, and the location all made for a memorable stay.

Dragsvik Fjordhotell is located along the Gaularfjellet National Tourist Route (National Scenic Routes) The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and free parking. The location was wonderful. Even though it was 9 km away from Balestrand, it was easily accessible by bus. The meals were excellent, the rooms were very clean and the owners were very helpful.

For extra luxury, enjoy a wonderful 4-course dinner prepared by some of our best chefs, followed by a drink and coffee in the garden. We stayed in one of the modern rooms, which has plenty of space and a nice porch on the lawn to enjoy the morning sun. This is a must see for everyone who just want to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape. It’s not cheap, but it’s with it.

We loved our stay. The bedroom had a view directly on the Fjord, which added to the already magical feel of the room itself (very intentional beautiful decoration). The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, the breakfast delicious & generous; the personnel friendly and attentive.

The Gudvangen Fjordtell offered an unparalleled experience during our recent visit to Norway, with its Viking Rooms providing the perfect blend of history and modern comfort. We were captivated by the hotel's beautiful surroundings, which allowed us to immerse ourselves in the region's natural beauty while staying in a room that transported us back in time. The proximity to the cruise/ferry terminal and Viking village added to our enjoyment, as did the nearby restaurants offering delicious food and the friendly staff who made our stay feel special from the moment we arrived. Although finding parking in the afternoon could be challenging due to the large public parking area, we were grateful for the early check-in option, which allowed us to start enjoying the hotel's amenities earlier than planned. Overall, we cannot recommend Gudvangen Fjordtell highly enough and will cherish our memories of this unforgettable stay in Norway!

Housed in a 19th-century building by Stryn Bay, this hotel offers individually decorated rooms with private balconies and free WiFi access. Stryn centre is a short walk away. This stay exceeded our expectations. Such a beautiful hotel with the most amazing décor. We had a set menu style dinner at the hotel and it was the best food we had in Norway! An der Spitze der berühmten Flåm-Bahn in Myrdal ist dieses Hotel nur mit dem Zug erreichbar und liegt hoch über dem Aurlandsfjord. The location is beautiful and very close to the zipline which led us to having the most amazing day of our whole Scandinavian adventure. We did the zipline followed by the bike ride then the fjord safari in Flam followed by the flamsbana back up later in the day. We used this as a way to break up the journey from Oslo to Bergen and I'm so glad we did. The hotel is quirky and homely with excellent food provision all day, you don't need anything else.
