It is one of the closest accommodation options from the Interisland Ferry Terminal, just 2 km away. I like that they provide very decent shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Towels are plenty and there is a heat towel rack, a total luxury during cold, windy Wellington days. Their housekeeping standard is obviously very high, they make the bed even help washes the mugs and glasses.

Surrounded by historic buildings dotted amongst the vineyards, The Martinborough Hotel is a 1-minute walk from the Martinborough Wine Centre. Cape Palliser is a 55-minute drive away. Liked it so much we extended our stay. Started out at the Petit Hotel and moved into the Main Hotel after a few nights. Both were fantastic. Went to the restaurant for breakfast/lunch/dinner and all were great. Really central, we went for a wine tour (bike rentals are half a block away), played a round of golf (5 min drive away).

Very tidy place and private, too. The continental breakfast was impressive and tasty, with no single use plastics! We were very pleased with this place overall.

We appreciated the electric blanket, the breakfast bar in our room and the little table right outside the room surrounded by lavender, it was the best setting for breakfast in the garden. The property also has a pool and a jacuzzi and it's close to the beach.

It was very close to Cuba St with lots of bars and restaurants. The parking was good. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchenette was great for us. The hosts were very helpful and attentive. We would stay here again.
