Surrounded by beautiful native trees and bush land, Aspen Court Motel Franz Josef offers guests free Wi-Fi. Opened in December 2013, the property offers heated rooms with a flat-screen TV. It is a 1-minute walk from Glacier Hot Pools. Clean, quiet, comfortable, large room with everything we needed for a relaxing two-night stay. I can’t say enough great things about this property. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Opened in 2014 and offering 20 luxurious rooms with free WiFi, Franz Josef Oasis is just 10 minutes’ drive from the Franz Josef Glacier. Guests enjoy a spacious, covered outdoor terrace, perfect for taking in the lovely views of Westland National Park, the garden and mountains. The rooms were very cosy and the amenities provided were nice. The fireplace in the room was a great comfort as the weather was very chilly during our stay. We also enjoyed meeting Kona (Angela's dog) and his bunny friend who were very warm and friendly.

Boasting rooms with free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV with 50 or more satellite channels and cooking facilities, Alpine Rose Motel is a 3-minute drive from Greymouth town centre. Guests enjoy access to BBQ facilities and a children’s playground. The motel was easy to find. The owners are very friendly and gave us great advice for a place to dine. The motel has two chargers; the use is complimentary. The beds are good. Great place to stay!

All rooms at the Coleraine Suites & Apartments come with a microwave, minibar and tea/coffee making facilities. Each room has spacious seating and dining areas, and most rooms also have a spa bath. Everything was excellent! The room was very cozy, and the location was good (near the supermarket, restaurant, and Recreation center). The staff were very nice and helpful.

Nestled in a garden landscape, Shining Star offers self-contained beachfront chalets with free WiFi and a private balcony just steps from clear blue waters. Providing free parking and featuring beach access. Wonderful, as always. It's a perfect place to stay for a weekend away. It's peaceful and quiet, and the beach is nearby for a long walk or to watch the sunset. I always stay here when visiting Hokitika.

A restored miners' hotel, Theatre Royal is 2 minutes' drive from the historic Dillmanstown gold-mining town. It is 14 minutes' drive from Paroa. Greymouth and Hokitika are both within 25 minutes' drive away. This was by far the best hotel on our whole trip in New Zealand. A very unique and charming place with very friendly stuff. Also the breakfast was perfect. With no doubt we can recommend this hotel definitely, it is a place where you have to stay if you are in the area.

BeachView Motel is a 10-minute scenic drive from Greymouth. It is a 20-minute drive up the coastal highway to both Punakaiki Blowholes and Pancake Rocks. Just a bit outside of Greymouth. It’s worse the ride and the peace….
