Das Santa Bárbara Eco-Beach Resort in Ribeira Grande liegt an der Nordküste der Insel São Miguel. Oh, I am in love with this place: the room, surrounding area, service, food - all were perfect. We stayed in the room with the pool. It was cold to swim, obviously, but nice to look at. The view on the ocean and mountains is breathtaking. Sunrise paints your room in different colors, tiny birds play and sing on the grass in front of the house every morning. Perfect. And they prepared special tea ritual every evening for us.

Nestled into a lush garden landscape, we were completely enchanted walking through the property. The bungalows were so inviting, cozy and warmly decorated. The baskets of food and wine were a wonderful touch. We can’t wait to come back again!

This place was perfect to stay the first few nights in Sao Miguel. It had everything you need- comfy bed, separate bathroom and a equipped kitchen. I stayed in a single room the first night and then my friends and I shared a room with three single beds and attached bathroom. Parking can be tricky- the streets are narrow but we did not have any problems finding spots near the lodge. Also, you will hear planes overhead- this is close to the airport so it makes it convenient in that way but if you don't want that noise, you will want to stay farther away from the airport.

Das Pico do Refúgio - Casas de Campo bietet eine natürliche Umgebung mit Geschichte, Kunst und Meerblick. Wunderschöne Unterkunft im Grünen mit einem wunderschönen grossen Garten mit Pool, Liegestühlen etc. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben viele tolle Tipps für die Insel erhalten. Besonders über das sehr leckere Frühstück haben wir uns jeden Tag sehr gefreut :) die Unterkunft ist sehr zentral gelegen, es gibt viele leckere Restaurants in der Nähe und die Sehenswürdigkeiten der ganzen Insel sind schnell erreichbar.
