Very nice winery with an amazing view on the wine fields. Very big and comfortable room, just perfect. Opportunity to do a nice wine degustation and dinner at the winery is excellent too. We were lucky to come in the harvest season and could witness the wine making from the start, when the grapes arrive in trucks. Douro valley is a fantastic area and for sure one should stay in a winery to get the full experience.

Accommodation at Morgadio da Calçada is set in former sheds scattered through small patios. They were renovated to provide comfort with parquet floors, satellite TV and wrought-iron beds. Each private bathroom includes free toiletries and a hairdryer. The breakfast was good. Delicious freshly made omelet. Dinner was a wonderful experience with the hosts sharing their family history, information about the vineyards and the wine. Not only delicious but very entertaining. The room was quaint and inviting with a fireplace for warmth and ambiance.

Located in a wine producing estate, on the right bank of Douro River, Quinta De La Rosa is a family owned property, 2 km from Pinhão. Rooms at this working vineyard are spread over several levels.

The private bathroom comes with a hairdryer and boasts either a bath or a shower. Some bathrooms feature typical tiles on the walls. We enjoyed our stay at Quinta de la Rosa. Our room was very nice with an incredible view of the Douro river. The amenities were very nice. Breakfast was incredible. The entire staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect.
