Throughout your visit you will experience several tasting of the excellent portwines of the house. And staying there you don’t need to drive anymore. (Large carpark). There is a joint drink followed by a communal dinner. The food is excellent and portwines are used in the food as well. It’s a very nice to socialize with other guests. There is a lovely swimming pool with nice seating area overlooking the wineslopes. Rooms are spotless, very comfortabel and atmospheric. Last but not least: there is a beautiful 2 hour hike from the premises through the winefields with magnificant Douro riverviews from high above! This all makes for an unforgettable experience! The property features garden and city views, and is 15 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. The bed and breakfast also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. The facilities, the location and the host were superb. Comfortable and big room, nice outdoor pool.

Amazing the comfort you can get on a 17th century house. The staff was super kind, helpful and definitely a plus. If coming back to the same area, I would stay here again.

Featuring pool with a view and views of mountain, Casa do Romezal is a guest house situated in a historic building in Peso da Régua, 6.5 km from Douro Museum. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The bungalow Apartment is amazing. The pool overlooks the vineyards and is just below your balcony with the same view of sunsets. The tasting is just a walk up a few steps and you can walk several paths in the area. Breakfast is not included if the 3 rooms in the main house are booked so plan accordingly. Marguerida gave me a small box of milk so I could make coffee in the morning. Once here you will never want to leave so I agree with the 2 night minimum stay so you can do the wine route which involves narrow winding roads. Make sure you do a full tasting here with Luis. Gueda vineyards has been operating for hundreds of years so you are supporting a small family and local workers and their families in this beautiful part of the world. Several wines are also available in the apartment to purchase. We know others were rushing to do 3 tastings in a day but when you stay here one is enough. Take a break and slow down here.

Great location, amazing view, Kajaks without additional fee, good port wines, super clean, comfortable bed and the staff was very friendly

The **Quinta de Fiães** is a charming farm house located in the heart of the Douro Valley, just 1 km from the village of Vilar de Maçada. Producer of wines, including the prestigious white wine of the Douro, Quinta provides an authentic experience, where rural charm and family hospitality combine with modern comfort. This was the best location with great views. The food was wonderful and the hosts went out of their way to make our stay memorable.

Accommodation at Morgadio da Calçada is set in former sheds scattered through small patios. They were renovated to provide comfort with parquet floors, satellite TV and wrought-iron beds. Each private bathroom includes free toiletries and a hairdryer. Manuel and Daniela were wonderful hosts. The dinner with pairings was great.. Dinner in the manor house was particularly special. Set in a beautiful location and close to the Douro river I would highly recommend

Located in a wine producing estate, on the right bank of Douro River, Quinta De La Rosa is a family owned property, 2 km from Pinhão. Rooms at this working vineyard are spread over several levels.

Offering river views, De La Rosa’s suites feature a seating area with a plush sofa, and a mini-bar. All guest rooms are air conditioned. The private bathroom comes with a hairdryer and boasts either a bath or a shower. Some bathrooms feature typical tiles on the walls. We enjoyed our stay at Quinta de la Rosa. Our room was very nice with an incredible view of the Douro river. The amenities were very nice. Breakfast was incredible. The entire staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect.
