Hotels in Wiedikon, Zurich

We were invited to sit down and have some home-brewed tea at the Gasthaus after walking from the main station. Then we were taken to our room. It was simple, super clean,and practical. Our stay was for two nights, and the second night we were moved to the top floor to a room with many windows and an impressive parquet flooring. If you have a chance, for breakfast, have the Bircher muesli!. It’s one of a kind. A big thank you to Samia and Melanie, who were always available, and answered all questions willingly. The tram convenience is worth noting. We would love to return.

Great location close to tram, balcony view, very comfortable and inviting

Location is fantastic with tram and buses options just next to the hotel. Junior suite was great for a family of 4. Sofa bed was super easy to put away or pull out.

I particularly liked the "bathroom box"... it was filled with a lot of thoughtful items that you don't see in hotels regularly... and they were nicely packed and labeled. I also got upgraded to a suite, which was totally amazing! The steam room is the hottest I have been ever and I also liked that there was lemon infused water all over the SPA

The property's physical beauty is matched only by the extraordinary service culture Mr. Mahakumara has masterfully cultivated. From our arrival, it was clear that his leadership philosophy centers on proactive guest care. Mr. Mahakumara's personal touch was evident throughout - from his daily rounds delivering room service to his genuine interest in ensuring guests' comfort, both within the hotel and during their time in Zurich. As someone who leads my own organization, I found his management style both inspiring and educational. The coordination between departments was flawless, reflecting Mr. Mahakumara's exceptional training protocols. His team, from front desk to housekeeping, maintained immaculate standards with remarkable consistency. Their ability to anticipate rather than merely react to guest needs demonstrated the superior service culture he has established. A particular incident stands out: when a fellow guest accidentally left their iPad before a same-day flight, Mr. Mahakumara personally arranged international shipping to America. This level of attentive problem-solving exemplifies his commitment to guest satisfaction. Having experienced luxury hotels worldwide, the environment Mr. Mahakumara has created is truly distinctive. He achieves the perfect balance of five-star service while maintaining an atmosphere of genuine warmth. His leadership sets new standards in the industry, and we look forward to returning specifically because of the exceptional experience his management enables.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Between him and Simon (receptionist) handing off everything to each other, the stay was perfection.

No breakfast, it was self-catering. I made breakfast myself.

The apartment was clean and spacious. It was easy to access from the centre. We arrived on the train and it was very easy to get about on the bus and tram. The facilities were great and we loved that there were some spices we could use to cook with, as well as a washing machine to use and a roof terrace. The hosts were great at communicating and all the instructions were helpful and easy to follow. We would definitely recommend this to others.
